The village of Groby is situated in north-west Leicestershire
in the heart of the English countryside. Nearby Groby Pool is a
haven for wildlife and has been designated as a Site of Special
Scientific Interest (SSSI) by the UK government. The neighbouring
village of Newtown Linford borders peaceful Bradgate Park which
is home to a large herd of deer and contains the ruins of Bradgate
House. This was the Leicestershire residence of Lady Jane Grey,
later famous as the "Nine Day Queen".
